Our principle

Attendee data belongs to the organizer running the event. Zeva holds it on their behalf. We collect what is needed to register someone and check them in at the door, nothing more. We do not sell it, and we do not use it for advertising. We build trust by being honest about what we collect and why.

What we collect

When someone registers for an event that runs on Zeva, or when an organizer imports an existing order list, we hold:

  • The registration details the attendee gave the organizer, such as name and email address
  • Answers to any additional questions the organizer added to their registration form
  • Check-in records: whether a registration was scanned at the door, and when

We do not track attendees around the venue and we do not collect location data. Check-in happens only when a staff member scans a code.

Consent

Attendees give their details knowingly, at registration, to the organizer they are registering with. Nothing is gathered in the background. If an organizer imports a list they already hold, their own privacy policy governs how they collected it.

How we use data

We use registration and check-in data to:

  • Let door staff check a registration in and confirm it is valid
  • Show the organizer who registered, who attended, and who returned from a previous event
  • Deliver the attendee app content for the event a person registered for

Data storage and security

All data moves over SSL and is stored securely on protected servers, separated so that one organizer cannot see another organizer's attendees. We do not sell attendee data to any third party.

EU visitors (GDPR)

For visitors from the European Union, we comply with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Registration and check-in records are personal data, and Zeva processes them on behalf of the organizer running your event. You have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data, whether it came from a registration, a pilot request, or a contact form. Contact us at hello@zeva.io and we will act on it with the organizer.

We use a privacy-preserving cookie consent banner. We only load analytics cookies after you accept. No advertising cookies. No third-party tracking cookies. Change your choice at any time.
